The Bible is quite clear about parental responsibilities (a good man and a good woman as role models) to raise up children in the way they should go. The remedy to fix the current dire, valueless condition now facing America, brought on by 50 plus years of rejecting God’s values, is quite simple. Return to the Founders’ complete trust in God that served our nation well for its first 170 years.

Teaching the young of a nation how they are to act and react is universally understood by most nations, but it appears America’s leadership lacks the backbone to even consider such. We seem to prefer the politically correct “each one do whatever each desires”, and by now we should be able to judge how that’s worked out. Actually, the proper remedy to fix and, hopefully, forever prevent future lapses will even allow Congress a scapegoat – “We the People”.

Congress should promptly prepare an Amendment to the Constitution to recognize that God is our Creator (as did Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence), and the Bible is His Inspired Word of guidance. As such, God and the Bible should be promoted in all public places, and all public schools should begin each day with a Bible reading and a prayer for God’s guidance. As an “Amendment”, each state must then review and pass judgment thereon, until 3/4 of the states have ratified same, making “We the People” the scapegoats through approval by their respective state legislators.

It is only fitting and proper that the most important and life-saving decision for our nation be a longer, drawn-out process to insure input from all, and a total commitment from a majority of “We the People”. After all, there can be no greater gift to the young than God’s eternal presence!
