Welcome. My name is Ray W. Rowney, Jr., author of License to Steal. I’m so happy to have you as a visitor to my blog about my book.
I’m using this blog to expand on some of its topics using current day issues, in the hope that together we can stop the declining values in America.
As I turned 77 last week, my physical body is deteriorating, but while my mind is still relatively clear I have dedicated the rest of my life to urging America to repent and return to our National Motto, “In God We Trust”.
MY STORY
In early 1992, believing that America was distancing itself from God and His values, I led the founding of a small 501(c)(3) public charity, Christian Self-Help, Inc. (“CSH”). Its purpose is to aid the disadvantaged, unemployed to become self-supporting, contributing members of the society in which they live: “Helping Others to Help Themselves”. Unlike our federal government’s “free” handouts which create dependents, CSH provides a Christian motivation and direct assistance in developing/utilizing one’s God-given skills and talents. Visit the CSH website at www.cshhelp.org for specific details and current progress. In 1994, I ceased all efforts for pay, to insure that all my actions were motivated solely by service to God and Christ.
In 1999, when a small company in which I had purchased some convertible bonds suddenly went bankrupt, I was asked by the Creditors’ Attorney to serve as a volunteer bondholder rep in a Chapter 11 US Bankruptcy Proceeding. Believing that my prior 40 years of accounting, finance, business development, etc. hands-on experiences could be helpful, and that this assignment was my next call from God, I accepted. I felt that the $200 million contributed by bondholders and stockholders must have some residual value for all creditors if properly administered through the Bankruptcy Court. By 2014, after 7 years in the Federal Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York (lower Manhattan), 5 years in the New Jersey Superior Court (Freehold, NJ), and 8 years in the New York Supreme Court (Brooklyn, NY), it was very clear my call was not to return any value to the scammed bondholders. Rather, I believed my call was to expose the deterioration of the US Legal System. Hence, I authored the book titled “License to Steal: Truth and Justice Are Inseparable.” Visit the book’s websites at www.raywrowneyjr.com and www.ogjusttruth.com for specific details and current progress.
As the book and the websites make clear, I believe America’s problems stem not from economic issues, but from the decline in individual moral and character values of American voters. Both the courts and the federal government now suffer from the substitution of human greed and selfishness for God’s truth and justice. Only the teachings of Christ put principles and service ahead of self; and only adherence to His values produces citizens capable of preserving the US Constitution and the Founding Fathers’ visions for America.
In the book’s second website, www.ogjusttruth.com, is a page “Author Videos” which contains 8 Interviews in which I summarize the current problems and challenges for America. While this site name sounds like “Oh, gee, just truth”, it really stands for “Only God’s Justice and Truth”.
