As I listen to the continuing battle between Bernie and Hillary over who can promise the most “free stuff” to blatantly attempt to “buy” votes, I am reminded of Margaret Thatcher’s sage advice: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money to spend!” How ironic that Bernie can rail against a man or woman accumulating wealth through the American Dream of using personal ingenuity, talents, and hard work, yet at the same time promote…..
The popularity and value of a donut is the stuff of which its made, not the empty hole in the center which is only a by product.
The other day as I read a column by a founder of the Religious Freedom Center, I was reminded of the old saying, “Keep your eye upon the donut and not upon the hole.”
